TC Philharmonic Backstage Pass Event

The Traverse City Philharmonic (TC Phil) is pleased to invite Newcomers to their next Backstage Pass Event on January 17 at 7:30 pm at the Traverse City Philharmonic Center in the Cherryland Mall, 1724 S. Garfield Avenue, Traverse City. The highlighted concert will be American Fireworks that features Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Bernstein’s West Side Story, Copland’s Buckaroo Holiday, and Boyer’s Rhapsody in Red, White, and Blue (a brand-new work composed especially for TC Phil’s guest pianist, Jeffrey Biegel).

This Backstage Pass Event is the PERFECT one-hour event if you've ever wondered if classical music is for you. Tickets are only $10, and your drink is included (wine, beer, NA, soft drinks)!  Tickets must be purchased on line at TC Phil website at https://tcphil.org/events/backstage-pass-january-17/

So, what is a "Backstage Pass?”

This event is designed for newcomers to the world of classical music. You will get an hour of music with the FULL Traverse City Philharmonic orchestra, behind-the-scenes stories, and answers to questions you always wanted to ask Maestro Kevin Rhodes, but cannot during a regular concert. The Maestro will lead the orchestra in some short passages from the concert that is being performed the next day to illustrate his points and give you a bit of a trailer or "amuse-bouche" of what the full American Fireworks two-hour concert will be on Sunday, January 18 in Corson Auditorium, while helping the audience understand classical music better than they ever have before!
